Many of the articles on this site are intended to encourage and strengthen the faith of believers – those who know the Lord and are surrendered to His will. This site grew out of a time of personal loss, disappointment and emotional pain. Importantly though, the goal is to lead us all to the Word of God, to spiritually grow from the testimonies of His faithfulness in the lives of His people. If we belong to God, we can rightfully lay claim to the same freedom and victory in our lives.
The New Testament holds God’s unbreakable guarantee, promise, commitment, agreement…..His New Covenant with us His people. However, if you are not a believer, you are living outside of His covenant promises. If you don’t know God, how can He be your Father?
Jesus is the ‘gate’ of that relationship, John 10:9, opening salvation and reconciliation with our heavenly Father. He said, “He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.” (John 14:21)
Everyone is crushed in this world by their own sin, the sins of others, through loss, tragedy and grief. But a vast difference lies between those who suffer yet belong to the Lord and those who suffer separated from God. No one should seek out God to be spared from grief but God’s people are promised victory through our grief. Jesus didn’t come to install health and wealth but came to “save His people from their sins”. His death for us on the cross grants forgiveness to those who repent and turn to Him with an honest heart…and that is a glorious beginning.
If you came to this site ‘crushed’ but lost, separated from God, I pray that you will seek the Lord…not just as an answer to your problem but the Giver of new life. Receiving the Lord Jesus Christ begins a journey – a God led walk through life, secured within the covenant promises in His word.
I hope that all who read will enter into relationship with the Lord…
“God, if you are there, if the Bible is true and your love for me is so great, I pray that you show yourself to me. In my pain, failures, and losses I can see that my ways are faulty, that life apart from you is dark. Forgive me for living apart from you, forgive me for my offenses against you. I receive the forgiveness offered through Jesus on the cross. As your word promises, begin a new life in me, be my Lord, govern my steps as both an Almighty God and loving Father, and lead me into freedom. Help me to walk in your word each day and hear your words of life. In Jesus name, Amen.”
Amen.
